Official : Ex Golden Eaglet, Udo Fortune Returns To Singapore
Published: January 21, 2014
Indonesian Super League campaigners Persib Bandung has completed the signing of former Golden Eaglets attacker Udo Fortune.
The 25 - year - old has committed his future to the Blue Prince for the next one - year after rejecting the overtures of Albanian side Kukesi, who had offered him peanuts.
Shedding more light on the deal is Johnson Nwankpa, who mentors the former Balestier Khalsa star.
“Udo Fortune signed a one - season deal where he will earn good money, twice as much as he earned in Israel with Ramat HaSharon.
“He made his debut in a cup game with Mitra Kukar yesterday and he was on target.
“You know he trained with Kukesi and the club from Albania offered him poor wages contrary to what we were told before he went there, so we turned down their offer,” Johnson Nwankpa told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Udo Fortune is not an unknown quantity in Singapore, having previously starred for Sporting Afrique, Thessenson Khalsa, Balestier Khalsa, Arema Cronous and Persikab Bandung .
He has been handed the number nine jersey for the 2014 campaign.
