Exclusive : Uche Agbo Chose Udinese Ahead Of VeriaNew Udinese signing Henry Uche Agbo had attracted interest from Greece Super League side Veria plus an unnamed team in Belgium before committing his future to the Bianconeri for the next four years.

Last summer, Greek agent Paschalis Tountouris of Prosport International  had proposed the 18 - year - old midfielder to Veria as replacement for another of his client Michael Olaitan, who was departing for Olympiakos.

Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com, Henry Uche Agbo said : “Before I signed for Udinese, I had two offers from Belgium and Greece. I was considering the offer from Greece because as a young player it would be nice for me to be close to Nigerian players I am already used to - Olaitan (Olympiakos ) and Ajagun in Panathinaikos.”

The former Enyimba ace added : “ I did not think twice when I got another proposal from Udinese. I think I will develop best there and during my four - month stay in Italy last year, I was impressed with what I saw on ground .

“Christian Obodo was also helpful when I was in Udine. He kept inviting me to his house and offering me advice. I enjoyed Nigerian delicacies every time I visited his home.”

Henry Uche Agbo has been loaned by Udinese to Granada until the end of this season and will depart Lagos for Spain on Sunday.

He will earn 10,000 euros every month at Udinese while ex Golden Eaglet Isaac Success will pocket 15,000 euros per month.
