Nigeria international Shola Ameobi is set to end his close to two decades collaboration with Newcastle United, according to reporting by the British edition of The Sun.

Newcastle power brokers had offered him a one - year extension but the ex England youth - teamer has rejected their proposal, knowing that he would put himself in the shop window if he makes the Super Eagles World Cup roster.
And everything indicates that he will sign for a new club after the tournament in Brazil.
