Published: May 18, 2014
Enugu Rangers Senegalese defender Pierre Coly was over the moon after scoring his third goal since he started plying his trade in Nigeria’s top division, as the Flying Antelopes defeated Crown 2 - 0 in the 13th round.
The 29 - year - old gave Enugu Rangers the lead in the 6th minute after he nodded home a corner kick taken by Nigeria international Ejike Uzoenyi before Osaguona Ighodaro completed scoring for the home team 15 minutes from time.
“Before my goal today, I had scored two goals in the Premier League - one for Sharks and another for Rangers - so this is not my first goal in the league.
“I am so, so happy scoring today against Crown. And I thank God for the goal because I believe He gave me this goal, ” Pierre Coly told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Today at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Coly partnered skipper Cyril Oriaku in central defense following the injury to his compatriot, Pabi Sane.
