UEFA’s hammer fell on the 1991 European champions for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.
“I am aware of UEFA ruling and it is very sad not to play in Europe after struggling all season to play in the competition.
“It is something sad too for the club. I will keep my options open so we will see how things end up,” says the Swedish - Nigerian to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Meanwhile, Red Star Belgrade can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
And if they are successful, the team will be allowed to compete in the competition for the first time in seven years.
