Premier League duo Chelsea and Brentford, alongside Belgian club OH Leuven, are showing strong interest in three promising players from the Kwara Football Academy — Abduljelil Kamaldeen, Uthman Tajudeen and Ifeanyi Ikechukwu, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The revelation was made by the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji, during the 3rd Quarter Inter-Ministerial Press Briefing organized by the Ministry of Communications in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

According to a statement issued by the Press Secretary of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Abdullahi Saheed Toyin, Chelsea have expressed interest in Abduljelil Kamaldeen, a talented midfielder who represented Nigeria at the recently concluded FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

The Flying Eagles reached the Round of 16 before being eliminated by Argentina in a 4-0 defeat.

Kamaldeen featured in two matches at the global tournament and was also a key figure in the WAFU Zone B Championship, where Nigeria finished second.

His creativity, work-rate, passing ability, and tactical discipline have drawn the attention of several European clubs including Liverpool, West Ham United, and Belgian side Anderlecht.

Meanwhile, Premier League side Brentford are reportedly keeping tabs on Uthman Tajudeen following his eye-catching performances for the academy.
