Lille Goalie Vincent Enyeama Feeling Confident Ahead Of France Showdown
Published: June 30, 2014
Ahead of the Super Eagles round of 16 clash against the Blues, Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is optimistic that the African champions will progress to the quarterfinals of the World Cup, arguing that they are not afraid of any opponent.
“We fear nobody. We have a culture for football. It’s our way of life.
“To be honest, we have a great confidence in ourselves,” Vincent Enyeama told French sports daily LEquipe.
France have experienced mixed fortunes against African opposition at the mundial, losing to Senegal and South Africa by a slim margin.
The Super Eagles have scored in each of their previous 2 games in the round of 16, against Italy (1994) and Denmark four years later.
