Exclusive: Al Orubah Turn Their Attention To Enyimba Defensive Midfielder, Rasheed Olabiyi
Published: June 30, 2014
Following the failed move of Kano Pillars star Abdullahi Shehu to Al Orubah, allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Saudi Arabian club have not thrown in the towel in their bid to sign a quality Nigerian midfielder this summer.
Five Glo Premier League midfielders - Rasheed Olabiyi (Enyimba), Azubuike Okey (Bayelsa United), Lordson Ichull (Warri Wolves), Ugonna Uzochukwu (Enugu Rangers) and Musa Mustapha (Kano Pillars) - are among the candidates to replace Abdullahi Shehu.
However, the number one priority is Enyimba’s Rasheed Olabiyi, and Al Orubah will only turn their attention to the remaining players on the list if they fail to secure the signature of the 23 - year - old.
In November 2010, Rasheed Olabiyi was courted by Asteras Tripolis, Greece but nothing came out of it.
