Mikel Reveals Enyeama Has Given Eagles Lowdown On France Team
Published: June 30, 2014
John Obi Mikel, 27, is confident that the Super Eagles will deliver when they trade tackles with the Blues later this afternoon.
The Chelsea defensive midfielder has revealed that the squad has received some handouts about the France team from Vincent Enyeama, who has been on the payroll of Lille for the past three seasons.
“Vincent knows very well the French players. He talked to us all. I’ve also played against some of the players and we hope to make a good start,” says Mikel.
Enyeama did not pick the ball from his own net in the first two matches with Iran and Bonsia - Herzegovina.
Statistically, the former Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv custodian was officially rated the second best goalkeeper with the most saves after the first phase, 18 in total.
