Manchester City To Use Jack Rodwell As Makewieght In Deal To Bring Barkley To The Etihad

According to reporting by the UK edition of Daily Mirror, English Premier League moneybags Manchester City are eyeing up a summer move for highly rated Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, who has Nigerian blood flowing in his veins.
To lure the England National Teamer to the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City power brokers hope to convince Everton to do business by using Jack Rodwell as makeweight in the deal.
It was also reported by the British tabloid that the Citizens will test Everton’s resolve to hold onto the Anglo - Nigerian with a bid of 25 million pounds.
20 - year - old Barkley was involved in every single game played by England at the ongoing World Cup, starting their last Group D fixture against Costa Rica.
He had 34 EPL appearances under his belt in the 2013 - 2014 campaign.
