Lateef Elford Alliyu Set To Make Champions League Debut

Anglo - Nigerian striker Lateef Elford Alliyu is among the 16 players summoned by Valletta FC manager, Gilbert Agiu, for the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round fixture at home to FK Qarabag on Tuesday evening.
These days, the former England youth - teamer is the only player flying Nigeria’s flag at Valletta following the departure of Seun Abayomi Owonikoko in the close season.
Lateef Elford Alliyu joined Valletta in the last winter transfer market, and went on to record 3 goals in 9 appearances in the League.
He scored his most important goal since he arrived the Island Nation in the 1- 0 defeat of Sliema Wanderers in the finals of the FA Trophy in the beginning of May.
Alliyu previously starred for West Brom, Bury, Crawley Town and Tranmere Rovers.
