Chelsea Looking For Buyer For Mikel
Published: July 15, 2014
Nigeria international John Obi Mikel is now surplus to requirement at Chelsea, and the Premier League big boys are prepared to sell him far below his market value to an Italian club.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the Londoners will agree to do business with any club that meets his new release clause fixed at 6 million Euros.
But despite that drop in transfer fee, there is still no market for the central midfielder, who is tied to Chelsea till the summer of 2017.
Chelsea prevailed in the fight for his signature June 2006, signing him from Lyn Oslo after battling with Manchester United.
Mikel appeared four times for the Super Eagles at the 2014 World Cup.
