Efe Ambrose Back In Starting Lineup As Celtic Crash Out Of Champions League

Nigeria international Efe Ambrose was on parade at Celtic Park (Glasgow) for ninety minutes as the Scottish champions sensationally lost 1 - 0 to Maribor, Slovenia in the Champions League play - off round.

The only goal of the meeting came after 75 minutes through Brazilian attacker, Marcos Tavares.

After sharing the spoils with their opponents in the first leg, it means the Bhoys will not be included in the draws of the Champions League on Thursday.

Efe Ambrose was in action in the last 17 minutes of the first leg after arriving Maribor on the same day the game took place due to a bureaucratic goof.

The only consolation for Celtic is that they will now contest the Europa League.
