Ikechukwu Uche Nets First Ever Goal In Europe

Ikechukwu Uche netted the equalizing goal for Villarreal in their 1 - 1 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach on Thursday night in the UEFA Europa League.

Having passed a late fitness test, the Nigeria international came of the bench in the 67th minute, and it took him one minute before restoring parity for the Yellow Submarine.

However, the 30 - year - old had to be substituted five minutes after he leveled the scoreline due to injury, having clashed with
Mönchengladbach  goalkeeper Yann Sommer in the build - up to his goal.

Villarreal will return home to continue preparations for their game on Sunday in the Spanish championship against Rayo Vallecano.

Apollon Limassol, their next opponents in the Europa League, top the Group A standings following their 3 - 2 win over Zurich.
