Super Eagles debutant Moses Usor is confident the squad is motivated to secure victory over Madagascar in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier opener on Friday, while expressing his delight at joining the national team.
Usor received his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles ahead of the clash at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium following an impressive run of form at club level.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 12 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking to Brilla FM, Usor expressed his excitement at earning his first national team call-up, describing it as a dream come true.
"I feel good and I am really happy to be here," Usor revealed. It was an amazing feeling because it was everyone dream to play for the national team."
Usor described his first training session as a good one, adding that the players are feeling fresh and fully prepared for Friday's clash.
"The training session was good and everyone is ready. Everyone is fresh and we are motivated for a win," he added.
The Nigerian international stressed that the Super Eagles are focused solely on Madagascar and will only turn their attention to Guinea-Bissau after Friday's encounter.
"It is one game after the other, so for now, I don't think Guinea Bissau should come first. So, we focus on Madagascar and talk about the Guinea Bissau game after the Madagascar game," Usor concluded.
The LASK forward will be hoping to make his competitive debut for the Nigerian national team and impress manager Eric Chelle enough to stake a claim for a regular place in the squad ahead of other call-ups.
