Gil Vicente Forward Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo Disappointed Despite Scoring First Premier League Goals
Published: September 28, 2014
Despite celebrating his first ever goals in the Portuguese topflight, Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo was disappointed that his brace amounted to nothing.
Gil Vicente surrendered a one - goal advantage to lose 3 - 2 to Boavista at the Estádio do Bessa Século XXI on Sunday evening.
The former Portimonense sensation was on target in the 3rd and 56th minute to take his tally to 3 goals in all competitions this season, including his strike in the League Cup win over Atlético CP this past Wednesday.
“I am disappointed that we lost because I think it was an unfair result. I wish I had a better explanation why we lost, but that is football. To win you have to score more and concede less than your opponents.
“I dedicate these goals to my family and teammates for believing in me always, ” Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Gil Vicente saw off competition from Sporting Braga, Belenenses, Vitória de Guimarães, Servette and Jagiellonia Bialystok to land the signature of Simeon Nwankwo back in the summer of 2013.
