Agent Reveals Theophilus Solomon Is On The Radar Of Italian Clubs
Published: October 13, 2014
Jairo Pachon, the match agent of the Nigeria Football Federation, has disclosed that his client Theophilus Solomon rejected overtures from clubs in Italy in the summer transfer market, as he stands a better chance of developing in Croatia.
Now 18, Solomon, a product of Abuja Football College Academy, has been farmed out on loan to top division NK Zadar for the rest of this season to get some game time under his belt.
“Theophilus Solomon is on loan at NK Zadar for the rest of this season, the league just started. Next summer he will return to Rijeka.
“There was a lot of interest for him from clubs in Italy but he stayed in Croatia. He has been working very hard. I am confident they will invite him to the Under 20 team, he is improving everyday.
“He is a very talented player; he was loaned to second division Pomorac last season. They saw that he was good enough for the first division, and that is why he is now playing for NK Zadar,” Jairo Pachon said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles reject netted his first ever professional hat - trick last month, as NK Zadar thrashed Zagora 5 - 1 in the Cup.
