Cologne Striker Anthony Ujah Happy With Recent Form
Published: November 23, 2014
Nigeria international Anthony Ujah continued his purple patch in the Bundesliga but ended up on the losing side as Cologne lost 2 - 1 at home to Hertha BSC on Saturday.
His 58th minute goal at the RheinEnergieStadion was the third time he has found the back of the net in four consecutive matches in the top flight.
“I am happy for my current scoring form. I did not do anything special, I worked hard and my confidence is high so I kept more cool in front of the goal and it paid off,” Anthony Ujah said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It was a loss we didn’t deserve as we conceded a goal from a deflection in the 86th minute, but this is football and it happens.
“We will keep fighting to get as much points as we can before the winter break.”
The former Warri Wolves and Lillestrom striker has chalked up 57 goals in 121 matches since his move to Europe in 2010.
