According to leaks gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com editorial staff, highly - rated Crystal Palace starlet Jason Akiotu has been invited by Golden Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke to undergo screening with the squad starting from December 14.
The 16 - year - old is eligible to turn out for both the England and Nigeria national teams, but he has not yet committed his international future to any of the countries.
After being briefed by their scouting network, Nigeria are winning the race to cap Jason Akiotu ahead of the Three Lions, with coach Emmanuel Amuneke expected to run the rule over him next month.
