Joel Obi Delighted To Score First Inter Milan Goal
Published: November 24, 2014
Nigeria international Joel Obi has expressed his happiness with his strike against AC Milan, but has rued that Inter Milan failed to secure the maximum three points.
In their first game since the return of Roberto Mancini, Inter Milan held their San Siro rivals to a 1 - 1 draw, and they have to thank Joel Obi for getting the equalizer.
“I’m happy for the goal but I am a little disappointed, we wanted to bring home the three points. The new formation? It is not a new thing, although it will take a bit of time after two years of 3-5-2.
“You will soon see the new Inter Mancini, we are focused. The role? I prefer playing as inner midfielder. We will improve if we can work with intensity,” Joel Obi was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com.
The Super Eagles star was handed his fifth start of the season on Sunday by Roberto Mancini.
