Azubuike Egwuekwe Wanted By Hapoel Tel Aviv
Published: January 15, 2015
Hapoel Tel Aviv are mulling over a January move for Azubuike Egwuekwe, according to Sports Walla.
The Nigeria international is a key player of Warri Wolves but he could depart the Warri Township Stadium for where the grass is greener before the close of the transfer window.
Warri Wolves are aware that this may be their last opportunity to recoup their previous investments on the stopper, given that top European teams may not want to sign a player above a certain age for economic reasons.
The 25 - year - old made the rosters for the 2013 African Cup of Nations, Confederations Cup as well as the World Cup.
Red Star Belgrade had explored the possibility of signing Egwuekwe in the summer of 2013, but Wolves refused to do business after the Serbian team did not meet their valuation of the central defender.
