Published: February 16, 2015
Nigeria Professional Football League side Enugu Rangers have signed unknown youngster Obioma Moses ahead of the 2015 season, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
The 19 - year - old left back, who models his game after Real Madrid’s Brazil international Marcelo, joined the 1983 FA Cup kings in the off season after standing out in the month long screening exercise, which took place at Independence Layout, Enugu.
A product of Soccer Friends Academy Lagos, Obioma Moses impressed the Flying Antelopes higher - ups at the screening session that attracted more than 150 players, and has signed a deal tying him to the club until 2018.
Moses, who is a protege of former Etoile du Sahel striker, Ogochukwu Obiakor, will have to contend with the Flying Antelopes traditional left backs Nnamdi Anyasodo and Chinedu Justice.
He also caught the eye of former Flying Eagles coach John Obuh in 2011, but was later dropped at the eleventh hour as the team zoomed to Algeria to compete at the AYC.
Prior to agreeing terms with Enugu Rangers, Moses was also on the cards of Vejle Academy, the 2009 Dana Cup Under 19 champions in Denmark.
