Esperance Ponder $1.5 Million Move For Taiwo Awoniyi

After reaching an agreement in principle with Bernard Bulbwa, Esperance still have eyes on the Nigerian market.
However, contrary to reports in the local press, The Blood and Gold are yet to table a bid for Flying Eagles star, Taiwo Awoniyi.
As early as yesterday, there was contact between intermediaries representing Esperance and the 17 - year - old’s camp regarding the possibility of signing him in the summer.
The Tunisian club are aware that Taiwo Awoniyi has an agreement with Kalmar, and want to study the preliminary contract that was signed last year before they decide whether or not to go ahead and launch a bid.
United Academy supremo, coach Razaq Olojo, will inform Awoniyi of the interest from Esperance when he returns from international duty with the Dream Team.
It must be stressed there is nothing concrete at the moment, but Esperance are willing to pay as much as $1.5 million to land the signature of the much - coveted youngster.
