The central midfielder has been trialing with the Principality side as he seeks to bag a professional contract with the Ligue 1 side when he attains the age of majority.
Since helping the Golden Eaglets win the Fifa Under 17 World Cup, Obasi has been linked with SC Bastia, Recreativo de Huelva, Real Avilés and Auxerre.
And it has been claimed by his minders and the player himself that he has penned a preliminary contract with Deportivo La Coruna, having impressed the technical crew at the end of trials.
