Edward Ofere Scores Against Celtic Again
Published: April 19, 2015
Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose will not be contesting the Scottish Cup final after Glasgow Celtic lost 3 - 2 after extra time to underdogs Inverness Caledonian Thistle in today’s semi - final.
Most of the pre - match talk centered around Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s Nigerian forward Edward Ofere, and he lived up to his reputation by scoring for his club in the 96th minute.
Virgil van Dijk gave The Bhoys the lead after 18 minutes before Tansey equalized from the penalty spot two minutes before the hour mark.
On 103 minutes, John Guidetti cancelled out Ofere’s goal but Inverness Caledonian Thistle won the game with a 117th minute goal from David Raven.
Efe Ambrose failed to come off the bench in what would have been his 39th game of the season in all competitions.
On the other hand, Ofere was on the pitch from start to finish. Inverness face Falkirk in the final.
