Peter Odemwingie Makes Emotional Return For Stoke City

On Saturday, striker Peter Odemwingie suited up in an official game for Stoke City for the first time in eighth months in their 1 - 1 draw with Sunderland in the English Premier League.
The Nigeria national - teamer was subbed on by the Potters gaffer Mark Hughes in the 80th minute, replacing Jonathan Walters.
Prior to the match day 34 tie, the 33 - year - old last appeared in the Premier League on August 30 in a match with Manchester City, where he had to be replaced in the 65th minute after damaging his ligament.
“I’m really pleased to be back - it was a very emotional moment for me, I was at a point where I almost cried.
“I just hope I can finish this season strongly and hopefully get a goal for the fans, I think that would be a great way to repay them for their magnificent support.
“I also have to give a massive thanks to our medical team who have done a really great job and I just hope I can contribute to the great season we’re having so far and help us finish in the top 10,” said Odemwingie to stokecityfc.com.
