Swedish Premier League side Kalmar have invited Nigeria Nationwide League club Shekarau Babes to attend a training tour to help them get the experience of Swedish football.
During the training tour, Shekarau Babes will take part in two friendly games against yet to be determined opponents.
General Manager of Shekarau Babes, Kabiru Ali Mazado, said the team is being sponsored to Scandinavia by former Kano State Governor, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, adding that the trip will put his outstanding players in the shop window.
“We are traveling to Sweden on the 29th of July, two weeks after the end of the League,” Kabiru Ali Mazado told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“The trip is not only good for the club as the country stands to gain from it as well. It will help us export our players and develop the club. ”
