FCT FA Gets 2015 Principal Cup Football Committee

The Board of the FCT Football Assocaition has approved the organization of maiden edition of the 2015 Principal’s Cup Football Competition for all secondary schools in the capital city.
Announcing this after its Board Meeting on Tuesday, the Chairman of the FCT Football Association Alhaji Musa Saeed Talle said this is in the quest of the Association to further take the game of football to grassroots and discover more hidden talents in schools.
“We are happy to announce that the Board of the FCT Football Association has approved that the maiden edition of the FCT Principal Cup Competition be organized for all the Senior Secondary Schools in FCT.
“This also follows the approval we received from the Board of the FCT Secondary Education Board that the competition be organized.
“This is in line with our policy in ensuring that football development is taken to the nooks and crannies of the Capital City.
“This tournament is also aimed at ensuring that more talents are discovered to represent FCT and the country in various age grade competitions.
“This will also bring back the glamour that is associated with secondary school football competition in the past”.
He said that the Main Organizing Committee of the competition has also been constituted and would be headed by the First Vice Chairman of the Association Mr. Patrick Ngwaogu.
Other members of the Committee include Mr. Godwin Bamigboye who will be the Vice Chairman, Mr. Zakari Musa, Mr. Kayode Adeniyi (FCT SWAN Chairman), Mr. Akin Adejumo, Mr. Luka Mohammed, Barrister Victoria Nlemigbo, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, Mr. Hashimu Adamu, one representative from the FCT Secondary Education Board, and Haruna Usman Ilerika who would serve as the Secretary of the Committee.
The FA Boss said that the Committee would be inaugurated on Tuesday 23rd June, 2015 at the Secretariat of the FCT Football Association, Old Parade Ground Area 10, Garki Abuja.
He also said that the Medical Committee of the FA headed by Dr Charles Agadu would also be inaugurated on the same day.
Other members of the Medical Committee include Mr. Patrick Mbah, Dr. Maimagani Ibrahim, Mr. Ibrahim Bako, Mr. David Habakuk and Ms Queendolyn Akpan who would serve as the Secretary.
