Oyo State First Lady, Chief Florence Ajimobi, Backs Iyaloja Soccer Tourney

Oyo State’s first lady, Chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi has commended the the Iyaloja of Ibadanland Chief Mrs. Labake Lawal over her grassroots soccer competition initiative tagged Iyaloja Cup which was played by all the major markets in the city of Ibadan and pledged her support to the tourney.
The first lady who was represented by the wife of Secretary to the government disclosed this during the final of the tourney played inside the main-bowl of Lekan Salami Sports Complex Adamasingba Ibadan where Labaowo market emerged winner after pummeling Bola Ige market by three un-replied goals.
The final match which was witnessed by representatives of the Olubadan of Ibadan and notable Ibadan based business moguls attracted a full capacity crowd with marketers coming in different groups to cheers their teams to victories
Chief Labake, the number one market woman in the city, in her reaction after the tourney said the competition was dedicated to the victory of Senator Abiola Ajimobi during the last general elections while thanking Mrs. Ajimobi for her continuous support to marketers in the state.
“We are using this event to show our appreciation to the administration in the state for the good gestures it has shown to the Association of Joint traders in the State and to demonstrate our ability on the field of play and our love for the round leather game”.
She however, thanked the local organising committee for the tourney which comprises of the executives from various markets and a sports presenter with Federal Radio Corporations (FRCN), Sola Ayegbajeje who master minded the soccer tourney.
