Published: July 29, 2015
Panathinaikos midfielder Abdul Ajagun says The Greens will do everything in their power to qualify for the next round of the Champions League after their narrow 2- 1 win against Club Brugge on Tuesday night.
The former Flying Eagles skipper was sacrificed after the interval at Stadio Apóstolos Nikolaidis after teammate Sergio Sánchez was red - carded in the 43rd minute.
“It certainly was a very difficult game for us as it unfolded, especially in the first half after the dismissal and lost penalty,” Ajagun told gazzetta.gr in his post match comments.
“In the second part we entered the pitch determined, united, we played as a team and we managed to get what we deserved.
“The whole team believes in qualification and we are going to Belgium to show. We will prepare as well as possible to achieve our goal.”
