Juwon Oshaniwa Lands In Edinburgh To Complete Transfer To Hearts
Published: July 31, 2015
Left back Juwon Oshaniwa has arrived in Edinburgh to complete his transfer to Scottish Premier League club Heart of Midlothian.
Manager Robbie Neilson has expressed his delight at the imminent acquisition of the Nigeria international after the transfer was initially held up due to delays in processing his travel documents.
“It’s been a long process. We’ve been desperate to get him in, but when he does arrive and gets into the team… he’s a good that played in the World Cup last year,” Robbie Neilson told sport.stv.tv.
“He’s got great quality, he’s got pace, energy and he’s a great defender and he will be a good player. I’m really excited about getting him in.
“He’s not played since the end of last season, but I’ve been in contact with him and he’s been training with an academy out there.”
Juwon Oshaniwa might not debut for Hearts when they tackle St. Johnstone in their SPL opener, with the manager stating that he is not expected to be fully fit until at least seven days time.
