Hull City On Brink Of Loan Deal For Chuba Akpom
Published: July 31, 2015
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, in an earlier interview with the press while the team was having pre - season training in Malaysia, suggested that a number of youngsters might be farmed out on loan excluding Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom.
But it now appears that the respected Frenchman has gone back on his word, with various reports in the British Press, including the Mirror, claiming that Hull are set to announce the signing of Akpom on a season - long loan.
If that comes to pass, it would be the fourth time the England youth international has departed the Emirates on loan , having previously had spells with Brentford, Coventry and Nottingham Forest.
Chuba Akpom is yet to score in an official game for the Arsenal first team even though he has been prolific for the Gunners youth teams.
He committed his long - term future to Arsenal in February by signing a multi - year contract.
