Governor Mimiko For Ilerioluwa Cup Final, As Ondo Battles Bauchi for Glory

Ondo State have qualified in the both male and female categories for the final of the on-going national tournaments tagged ‘Ilerioluwa National U-16 boys and girls’ slated for Ore, Ondo State on Sunday.
Ondo boys defeated Delta State by two goals to nil the semi-final stage to confront Bauchi who edged-out Lagos via penalty shootout for the final match expected to be witness by Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
Nana babes also representing Ondo in the female category of the national tourney bankrolled by Prophet Mamukuyomi Ilerioluwa, Shepherd-in-charge of Celestial Church of Christ, Ilerioluwa Parish Ore beat Edo State by3-1 to tackle Ekiti that defeated Ogun by 2-1 in the final.
The director, Ondo Football Agency Mr. Akin Akinbobola has praised the organiser of the tourney, A Square Sports International for encouraging a good collaboration with his agency to help the growth of grassroots football in the state.
He however, pledged to bring the Governor of the state to the final as a morale booster for the two Ondo teams that would be vying for honours in the finals of the both categories.
The Chairman Planning Committee for the tourney, Evang. Olanrewaju Isaac has also pledged adequate security cover for all the dignitaries expected to grace the final event, while commending all the participating teams for conducting themselves in an orderly manner during their stay in Ore for the eight-day tourney.
