Nosa Igiebor : I Did Not Sleep After The Loss To Viktoria Plzen
Published: August 02, 2015
Nosa Igiebor is still disappointed that Maccabi Tel Aviv lost 2 - 1 to Viktoria Plze in the first leg of both teams third qualifying round fixture in the Champions League, and has admitted he was scratching his head after the game at Bloomfield Stadium.
Ahead of Wednesday’s return leg in the Czech Republic, the Nigeria international is confident that the Israeli champions can reverse their one - goal deficit and qualify for the play - off round.
“I did not sleep after the loss last week. I thought a lot about the game. I thought a lot from our mistakes and I had trouble falling asleep,” Nosa Igiebor told reporters after Saturday’s Cup clash against Hapoel Tel Aviv.
“I do not think Victoria Plzen are good. They are not a highly organized club, but I think we still have a chance to correct our mistakes.
“We’ll go to the Czech Republic with faith and try to make the outcome. If they believe they can beat us here, there’s no reason we do not believe we can beat them there.”
In three outings in the Champions League this season, Igiebor has hit target twice, taking his overall tally in European competitions to 3 goals.
