Daniel Chima went the distance as Shanghai Shenxin beat Liaoning Whowin 2 - 1 in the 22nd round of matches in the Chinese Super League.
But he wasn’t the only Nigerian player in action at the Jinshan Soccer Stadium on Tuesday, with Derick Ogbu handed his 19th start of the season by manager Ma Lin.
Chima broke the deadlock in the 8th minute before Wu Yizhen added a second for the home team after he was set up by the Nigerian, then, Ni Yusong scored a consolation goal nine minutes from time.
