Published: August 26, 2015
New Ipswich Town signing James Alabi changed the game completely when he was introduced in the 70th minute against Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup on Tuesday night, scoring in the 105th minute to make it 3 - 1.
The ex Stoke City youngster was pleased with his contribution and is looking forward to the tie against Manchester United in the third round.
“It was a great debut for me personally but all the lads have done well tonight to come from behind and win the game,” James Alabi told itfc.co.uk.
“I’m delighted to score and it was a poacher’s finish really. Hopefully that can be the first of many when I’m given a chance.
“I just promise to work hard and see where it takes me and, of course, the Club.”
Tuesday’s strike was James Alabi’s first goal since he became a professional.
