No Wolves Deal For Shola Ameobi
Published: September 23, 2015
Veteran attacker Shola Ameobi will not be wearing the jersey of Wolves, the Championship club have announced.
In the last few days, the 33 - year - old had been training with The Wanderers and was given a run out in an U21 game against Swansea City but it appears he failed to convince the coaching staff.
Assuming Ameobi had been offered a contract, he would have joined the Nigerian contingent at the Molineux in the shape of Carl Ikeme, Sheyi Ojo, Dominic Iora and the new kid on the block Bright Enobakhare.
It had been reported that Shola Ameobi was negotiating with another Championship side Huddersfield Town prior to his trials with Wolves.
