Published: December 16, 2015
Ukrainian Premier League club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk have announced that they have parted company with Nigeria international Michael Babatunde by mutual consent.
The attacking midfielder penned a one - year contract with Dnipro in August which would have kept him at the Dnipro-Arena until June 30, 2016 if both parties had honored the terms of the agreement.
At the request of Michael Babatunde, Dnipro terminated his contract after he told the club that he wants to seek pastures new to enhance his chances of earning a recall to the Super Eagles.
During the four months he was on the books of last season’s Europa League finalists, the 22 - year - old managed only 2 appearances in the Premier League and played an additional 3 games in the Cup, scoring 2 goals.
The Heartland product began his career in Ukraine with FC Kryvbas in 2011 before transferring to FC Volyn Lutsk two years later.
