Obafemi Martins has been named the Most Outstanding Player in the ranks of Seattle Sounders in the 2015 season.
The official website of Major League Soccer is on the same page as Seattle Sounders, who had selected the Nigeria international as the Most Valuable Player in the just concluded season, prior to Wednesday’s announcement.
“Named club MVP for 2015, and it’s hard for us to argue with that pick, ” the editors of mlssoccer.com said.
When fully fit, Martins was consistent in the Seattle Sounders line - up in 2015 and scored 15 goals in 24 appearances in the MLS.
His impressive displays in the American top - flight did not go unnoticed, with Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh handing him a recall to the national team for the World Cup qualifiers against Swaziland in November.
