Charlton Athletic New Kid On The Block Lookman Doubtful To Face Burnley
Published: December 18, 2015
Charlton Athletic rising star Ademola Lookman will face a late fitness test before the Londoners square off against Burnley on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.
The teenager had to be substituted on the hour mark in Tuesday’s draw with Bolton after suffering a relapse of his hamstring injury and interim manager Karel Fraeye is uncertain if he will be fit enough for the visit to Turf Moor.
“Ademola had a hamstring problem during the Bolton game. He couldn’t go on so we had to change him. We are managing his hamstring but we cannot forget where he comes from, ” Fraeye told Wolves’ official webpage.
“He comes from one game in every 10 to 12 days to Championship football at the age of 18. It’s very intense.
“He is a player that with his style is very intense too. He is always accelerating and sprinting.”
Lookman, who has found the net 3 times in his last 3 games, is being trailed by Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.
