Published: February 13, 2016
Strikers Ikechukwu Uche (Malaga) and Edward Ofere (Dundee United) made their competitive debuts for their respective clubs on Saturday.
Super Eagle star Ikechukwu Uche was introduced in the 84th minute in Malaga’s 1-0 loss to Villarreal at the Estadio El Madrigal.
Malaga, who have 30 points after 24 rounds, remain tenth in the standings but could be overtaken by Real Sociedad on Sunday if they beat Granada at home.
In Scotland, there was no debut goal for ex-Malmo and Inverness CT hero, Edward Ofere, who hopped off the bench in the 77th minute as Dundee United played out a goalless draw with Hamilton Academical at New Douglas Park.
Both strikers have penned short-term deals that will keep them with their present employers until June 30, 2016.
