Blackburn Rovers Sweating On Fitness Of Hope Akpan
Published: February 16, 2016
Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Lambert is sweating on the fitness of Nigeria international Hope Akpan ahead of tonight’s Championship clash against Fulham.
The defensive midfielder was not involved in last weekend’s game against Hull City as a result of illness and is doubtful to face the Londoners as well as Hanley and Graham.
“We’ll have to wait until the last minute to see how they are. Hope trained this morning after his bug, and we’ll see how Danny and Grant are tomorrow,” Lambert told Blackburn official website on Monday.
“They did little bits this morning so we’ll give them every chance to see.”
Akpan has featured 25 times in the second - tier and was on target against Sheffield Wednesday (November 28) and Queens Park Rangers(January 12).
