Bartholomew Ogbeche Set For Spell On Sidelines After Damaging Collarbone
Published: February 22, 2016
Bartholomew Ogbeche is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury in Willem II’s 2-1 loss to Utrecht on Sunday, a game which corresponded to the 24th round of matches in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The former Nigeria national-teamer finally got off the mark for Willem II, converting a penalty in the 77th minute after he was brought down by the Utrecht netminder before leaving the pitch injured five minutes later.
On Monday, Ogbeche will undergo further tests at the hospital to determine the extent of injury and the number of days he will be out of action but initial prognosis suggests he has damaged his collarbone.
The attacker drew the curtain on his Cambuur career in the January transfer window by penning a two-and-a-half-year contract with the team from Tilburg.
He has scored 10 goals and set up two others in 20 appearances in the top-flight this season.
