Prince Aggreh,Ezekiel Bassey, 3 Others Fail To Impress Siasia
Published: March 11, 2016
Interim coach Samson Siasia has axed five home-based players from the Super Eagles roster ahead of the crucial African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt for not proving their mettle during training at the get-together in Abuja.
The players that failed to impress the former Nantes striker include defenders Christopher Madaki and Oke Ogagatewho, midfielder Hassan Yau and attackers Prince Aggreh and Ezekiel Bassey.
On the other hand, Bright Onyedikachi has been transferred to the Olympic Team and is in contention to travel to Brazil for the friendly between the Dream Team and the South America powerhouse.
As from next week, thirteen players will be in camp but that number will be further reduced before the foreign-based professionals link up with the squad on Sunday, March 20.
The Super Eagles host Egypt in Kaduna in exactly two weeks time and the reverse fixture takes place four days later in Alexandria.
