Olympiakos Sweating On Fitness Of Brown Ideye Ahead Showdown With Panathinaikos

Olympiakos coach Marco Silva is sweating on the fitness of Brown Ideye ahead of Sunday night’s showdown against Panathinaikos in the Greek Super League.
The Nigeria international could not complete the training session on Thursday, and it is thought he picked up a minor injury which should not prevent him from missing the tie at the Karaiskakis Stadium.
This season, Ideye has suited up 31 times for the Reds in all competitions, with 19 of those games coming in the Super League.
However, the former Dynamo Kiev and West Brom man has not been named in Olympiakos’ starting XI in their last two games in the top-flight.
Olympiakos wrapped up their 43rd league title last month but the game with Panathinaikos is one of the most fiercely contested derbies in European football and much seriousness has been attached to it.
