Anthony Ujah Tips Bayern Munich Star Alaba To Become The Greatest Left Back In History
Published: March 13, 2016
Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah had nothing but praise for Bayern Munich wing-back David Alaba in the wake of Werder Bremen’s 5-0 loss to the Bundesliga champions on Saturday.
The former Cologne and Lillestrom star has opined that Alaba can become the greatest left back in the history of the game if he continues his development.
“Alaba is a great player at his age and always fun to play against him,” Ujah told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He is very fast and calculative, he is very much offensive minded and I’m sure he will be one of the greatest left backs of all time.
“We spoke after the game and I gave him my best wishes for the match against Juventus.”
Werder Bremen suffered one of their biggest defeats of the season at the Allianz Arena, Munich, and Ujah has explained that they were missing several first-team players.
“ We tried to stay compact defensively and not give room to them to play while we try to take our chances with the counter but this current Bayern team is hard to play against.
“We missed four regular players to injury and suspension which made it more hard. But our focus now is against Mainz and the rest of the matches as every game for us now is a final, ” the Nigeria international added.
The 25-year-old Anthony Ujah has scored 12 goals across all competitions so far this season.
