Nansel Selbol Makes Professional Debut For Sporting Kansas City Reserves Nansel Selbol made his competitive debut for the reserve team of Sporting Kansas City, Swope Park Rangers, in their 2-1 win over Portland Timbers II on Saturday in the United Soccer League.

The former Golden Eaglets trainee has been tipped by Major League Soccer as one of the five youngsters who could take the USL by storm in the 2016 campaign.

For the game staged at Children’s Mercy Park,Nansel Selbol was handed his professional debut when he was introduced in the 70th minute.

Nigeria U20 international Akinjide Idowu made the Timbers 18-man squad but watched proceedings from the bench.

Selbol made his debut for Sporting Kansas City U18s on September 20 against Solar Chelsea SC and was one of the team’s leading scorers in the Central Conference USSDA U -18 League before he was handed a professional deal.
