Governor Bello Congratulates Kogi Confluence Over Feat In Keta Cup

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has hailed the resilient spirit of the country’s representative at the Keta Beach Soccer Cup in Ghana, Kogi Confluence for emerging the first runner-up in the tournament.
Governor Bello in a release through his Chief Press Secretary, Kingsley Fanwo said the feat of the Kogi Confluence at the tournament is a herald of the undying spirit of excellence by the people of Kogi State.
He said his administration is prepared to develop Beach Soccer in the state and turn the team to a world-class outfit.
Governor Bello pledged the readiness of the State Government under his leadership to take sports to new heights and raise the bar in order to place the state on the global sporting map.
He promised to host the gallant Beach Soccer team at a later date.
Also, the Governor congratulated the victorious Havedzi Mighty Warriors of Keta, Ghana for their sportsmanship and being good hosts.
The tournament which was held at the Aborigines Beach Resort Pitch in Ghana had teams from Ghana, Nigeria and Togo in the competition.
