Official : Nigerian Defender Amobi Okugo Loaned Out To New York Red Bulls II By MLS

Through a statement on their official website, United Soccer League club New York Red Bulls II have announced the signing of Amobi Okugo on loan from Major League Soccer.
The 25-year-old had been searching for a new team since he was waived by Sporting Kansas City before the start of the regular season.
A product of UCLA Bruins, Amobi Okugo turned out for Philadelphia Union and Orlando City prior to joining Sporting Kansas City in July 2015.
He is credited with 135 appearances in Major League Soccer, including 117 appearances (5 goals) for Philadelphia Union.
On his debut for New York Red Bulls II this past weekend, the former United States U20 international helped goalkeeper Ryan Meara post a shutout in the team’s 4-0 rout of Bethlehem Steel FC .
