'Not 100%' - Fulham boss admits Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle target Tosin is likely to leave
Published: May 12, 2024
Fulham manager Marco Silva has acknowledged that Tosin Adarabioyo is likely to leave Craven Cottage at the end of the season.
The Nigerian central defender has exactly seven weeks left on his contract with Fulham and everything indicates that he is not putting pen to paper on a new deal.
Tosin was offered a new deal that would have made him one of the highest paid players at Fulham but his mind is already made up on his future.
It is looking likely the defender, who has a Nigerian passport, will remain in England with several Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on his situation.
Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Thursday that Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United are among the clubs interested in signing the Manchester City academy graduate.
Fulham have failed to secure victories in their last three matches, with Tosin absent from the matchday squad.
The Cottagers drew against Crystal Palace and Brentford before suffering a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.
Commenting on the future of Tosin at Fulham, Silva told TNT Sports, via Eurosport: "There's been a lot of noise around Tosin.
"Being honest, it's really difficult to renew with him. Probably at the end of the season he's going to leave the club. Not 100%, but probably it's going to happen."
Tosin has played in twenty-five matches this season, highlighted by the centre-back scoring the winning penalty as Fulham beat Everton to reach the semifinals of the Carabao Cup for the first time in their history.
